Mrs. Denniston is a 2004 graduate of PCHS that currently resides in Powell County with her husband (Wyatt) and two sons (Jaxon & Dallas). She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from EKU in 2009 and her Masters Degree in Communication Disorders from EKU in 2012.
She began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Clay City Elementary in 2012 where she worked until 2018. She then transitioned to a District Speech-Language Pathologist position while serving the Middle School and High School until 2022. While serving in that role she completed her Principal Certification, Director of Pupil Personnel, and Supervisor of Instruction Certifications in 2021 at Asbury University.
In August of 2022 she became the Dean of Students for the Powell County Academy in which she served until becoming the Assistant Principal of PCHS in February of 2023.
Her goal as Assistant Principal is to create academically engaging learning experiences through an environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and kindness.
