Course Description:

The objective of PCHS Health Education is for students to obtain, interpret, and apply basic health information to their daily lives. In order to be health-literate, students are encouraged to become self-directed learners while establishing a basic understanding of health promotion and disease prevention.

The objective of the PCHS Physical Education Department is to raise the overall physical fitness levels of each participating student to a level where the student recognizes the benefits of maintaining a high level of physical fitness. To teach basic skills and help students develop awareness and an interest in lifetime sports or activities with carryover value later in life.
