Math

Powell County High School offers the following Math courses:  Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Technical Math, Agricultural Math, Business Math, and various Dual Credit Courses.  Students are required to take a math course all four years of high school in the state of Kentucky.   The state of Kentucky also requires that each student pass Algebra 1 and Geometry.  The third and fourth classes will depend on the student’s need and eligibility based on future goals.  In addition, PCHS requires students to pass a math course their junior and senior years.
